Eardrum’s culture is best summed up by a client who recently introduced us to his CEO as ‘one of the most dynamic marketing companies I’ve worked with’.
Led by Founding Creative Director, Ralph van DIjk, the passion within Eardrum’s team of specialist producers, writers and directors is contagious.
Position: Founding Creative Director
In 1988 while working for a small advertising agency, Ralph wrote his first ever radio commercial. It went on to win a coveted Clio Award.
He got the hint and has been specialising in radio ever since.
In 1990, he co-founded Eardrum’s office in London, and after 22 years Eardrum has grown to be the world’s most awarded radio specialist agency.
Ralph is asked to lecture and run radio creative workshops around the world. He is also a regular judge at the world’s leading advertising award shows including Cannes, London International and D&AD.
One day his mother will know what he does for a living.
Position: Group Account Director
In the early 70’s, Les Gock took leave from the dispatch department of a major ad agency to become a rock star.
As lead guitarist with HUSH he went on to earn 12 gold records in just 5 wild years.
After the band broke up, Les set up business and offered his musical skills to the ad industry with phenomenal success. The company grew to become Song Zu, a music and sound design mecca in Sydney and Singapore that attracted some of the cream of Australasia’s composers and sound engineers.
In 2003 Les sold Song Zu and now applies his years of experience to working with Eardrum’s largest clients as Group Account Director
Position: Head of Digital Design
